Trail through the Logar Valley

The Trail through the Logar Valley is a natural history and ethnographic trail leading through the marvellous corners of the unspoilt nature of the landscape park. The numerous natural and ethnographic sights seen along the trail are sure to catch the eye of every visitor. The trail also brings people closer to nature. You can choose to explore the trail and the tranquil imagery of the park by yourself or you can opt for the services of local guides that will guide you through the wonderful world of nature and point out the numerous interesting features. The second source of the Savinja River, mighty boulders, a woodcutter’s and a charcoal-burner’s hut, a hunting blind and a giant juniper are some of them. The trail ends at Rinka Falls, one of the highest waterfalls in Slovenia, where you will be rewarded with the refreshing embrace of a fine mist.

The total length of the trail is 7km, and it takes about 2–3 hours to walk its entire length. You can also join the trail anywhere along the valley. The middle section of the trail also runs by the Fairytale Forest. A short section of the trail by the Mountaineers’ Hut is also wheelchair-friendly.
