The Logar linden tree, which has come to be known as a symbol of the view of the valley, gives great value to the landscape of the Logar valley. The linden tree grows in the lower part of the valley about 300m before the Logar farm in Log on the left-hand side of the road. The linden tree is well formed, measures 24m in height and has a trunk circumference of 485cm. Due to its importance, the Logar linden tree was declared a natural monument in 1987.
Among the many larch trees in the Solčava region, the larch on the Klemenča jama mountain pasture is particularly noticeable. You can see it on the way to Krofička and Strelovec, just a few minutes from the Koča na Klemenči jami mountain hut. The circumference of the tree is over 450cm and it is 28m high. It is estimated to be around 200 to 300 years old. Due to its exceptional dimensions, this larch has been declared a natural monument.
In addition to the Logar linden tree, another of the trademarks of the panoramic view of the Logar valley is a mountain elm tree known as the Plesnik elm. The tree, which grows in the central part of the valley – Plesti – has a circumference of 370cm and a height of 25 metres and is of great landscape and aesthetic value.
