The Kamnik-Savinja Alps, with their 2,000-metre peaks, enable numerous alpine ascents of various levels of difficulty, both in summer and winter. The starting points for ascents of the steep walls are in the Logar valley and in the neighboring Matkov and Robanov kot valleys. The walls of Ojstrica, Planjava, Raduha and Mrzla gora are excellent climbing areas. There are also smaller walls in the vicinity on Raduha and in the Solčava cliffs (Klemenča, Golerjeva, Strevčeva), which fall from Podolševa into the Savinja riverbed. The routes are of various levels of difficulty and are described in climbing guides.
Sports climbing is possible in the Žohar natural climbing area at the beginning of the Logar valley, as well as in Krofička and Mrzla gora, where routes of various difficulties are equipped and described.
